Michael T. Schlitt, MD

Michael T. Schlitt, MD

Dr. Michael Schlitt is a board certified pediatrician. He earned his doctorate in medicine from Thomas Jefferson University Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and stayed in the city to complete his pediatrics residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. In 1980 he received his bachelor's degree in biology from Lafayette College. Dr. Schlitt has served as a vice president of payer relations at Continuum Health Alliance (CHA), LLC since its founding in 1998, and joined Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 1990. He is married, has four children, and enjoys coaching wrestling, soccer, and baseball.

Mark G. Schlitt, MD

Dr. Mark Schlitt is a board certified pediatrician. He received his medical degree in 1989 from Thomas Jefferson University Jefferson Medical College and completed his pediatrics residency in 1992 at the University of Virginia. He previously graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982 with dual bachelor's degrees in biology and accounting. Dr. Schlitt served at the Fort Defiance Indian Hospital on the Navajo Indian Reservation from 1992-1995, and then worked as a pediatrician at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, until joining Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 2002. Dr. Schlitt is married and has three children. He enjoys coaching wrestling and soccer.

 

Stephanie N. Schlitt, MD

Stephanie N. Schlitt, MD

"Dr. Stephanie" is a board certified pediatrician. She earned her medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and graduated in the top five students of her class. Having graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in biology, she returned to University City for her residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Schlitt joined Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group upon completing her residency in 1997. She is married and has two sons and a daughter. Dr. Schlitt enjoys tennis, running, and spending time with her family.

 

Nina Shaigany, MD

Nina Shaigany, MD

Dr. Shaigany is a board certified pediatrician who joined Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group after completing her pediatrics residency in Philadelphia at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in 2001. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1998. Dr. Shaigany is married and has two daughters.

Dr. Garrett is a board certified pediatrician who received her doctorate in medicine from Thomas Jefferson University Jefferson Medical College. Upon completing her pediatrics residency at A. I. DuPont Hospital for Children/Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2006, she was selected to become pediatric Chief Resident from 2006-2007. Dr. Garrett joined Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 2007. She earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Garrett is married and has one young daughter.

 

Paul S. Matz, MD

 

 

Paul S. Matz, MD

Dr. Matz is a board certified pediatrician. He received his medical degree at the University of Buffalo after graduating from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in biology. Completing his pediatric residency in 1999 at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, he pursued an academic fellowship in general pediatrics at Brown University through 2001. As an attending physician, Dr. Matz trained residents in the pediatric residency program at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children until joining Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 2008. He has published several articles on ear infections in children; co-authored a pediatric safety reference book for parents; and is an editor of a textbook on visual diagnosis in pediatrics, now in its second edition. Dr. Matz also serves on the board of the Philadelphia Pediatric Society. He is married and has three daughters.

Dr. Blair is a board certified pediatrician. He completed his pediatrics residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, where he served as pediatric Chief Resident from 2008-2009. He graduated from Lafayette College and received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Blair joined Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 2009. He is married and has a son.

Jenna Gillern, MSN, RN, CPNP

Jenna Gillern is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from The College of New Jersey in 2002 and a master's degree in nursing from Villanova University in 2006. Prior to joining Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 2007, Jenna spent five years working as a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery. She is married and has one young daughter.

Angela Blomquist is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner. Prior to receiving her master of science degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, she earned a master's degree in public health and a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. Angela previously earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University. Her significant experience includes working as a registered nurse at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and, since 2004, serving as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner in Washington Township. Angela joined Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 2010. She and her husband have one young daughter.

 

Meghan Salvatore, MSN, APN

 

 


Meghan Salvatore, MSN, APN

Meghan joined Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 2011, after receiving her master of science in nursing degree with a specialty in pediatrics from Yale University. She earned a bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences from the University of Connecticut. Meghan previously worked as a nurse at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital on a medical/surgical unit. She is board certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) and the American Nurses Association. Meghan's areas of interest include diabetes in children, celiac disease, pediatric obesity, and nutrition. Meghan and her husband, a south Jersey native, live in New Jersey. She enjoys playing tennis and field hockey, biking, gardening, reading, and cooking.
