Henry J. Smergel, MD

Dr. Henry Smergel joined Haddonfield Pediatric Association in 1982. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson College, received his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and completed his pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

Dr. Smergel is board certified in pediatrics, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is affiliated with Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey.

Theresa M. Welsh, MD

Dr. Theresa Welsh joined Haddonfield Pediatric Association in 1986. After graduating from Villanova University, Dr. Welsh received her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University Jefferson Medical College. She completed her pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

Dr. Welsh is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is affiliated with Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey.

Dr. Kevin King joined Haddonfield Pediatric Association in 1997. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton, earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, and completed his pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

Dr. King is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is affiliated with Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey.

Claire L. Caltabiano, MD

Dr. Claire Caltabiano joined Haddonfield Pediatric Association in 1997. She earned both bachelor of science and master of science degrees in physical therapy from the University of Pennsylvania, where she pursued a special interest in child development and motor control. After serving as a staff physical therapist for Lankenau Hospital, the Easter Seal Society for Handicapped Children, Children's Hospital of Boston, Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital, and The Children's Seashore House, Dr. Caltabiano received her doctorate of medicine degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She completed her pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

Dr. Caltabiano received the Dr. Lee Winston Silver Award for Excellence in Pediatrics and the Arthur & Bertha Weisman Award for Excellence in Child Psychiatry from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is affiliated with Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey.

Barton J. Friedman, MD

Dr. Barton Friedman retired after 39 years with Advocare Haddonfield Pediatric Association in June 2011. He joined Haddonfield Pediatric Association in 1972, after serving in the armed forces at the U.S. Army Hospital on Ryukyu Island, Japan. After graduating from Centre College, Kentucky in 1962, Dr. Friedman received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

Dr. Friedman is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is affiliated with Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey.
