Health Tip of the Day
Most Common Childhood Infections are caused by germs called viruses and bacteria. While you may be able to keep germs from spreading, you can't always keep your child from getting sick. It is important for parents to know how to keep their children healthy and what to do when they get sick. Read on to learn more about common childhood infections.
My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Waran’s for over 14 years. During this time we have always been treated by both Dr. Waran and his wonderful staff, with the utmost respect and given great care and concern to my daughter’s health and well-being. The team at Advocare Pediatric Neurology takes every step to ensure the patient’s best interests are always front and center!! We truly appreciate the many years of caring and attentive service.
My family has been under the care of the doctors at Advocare Pediatric Neurology for the past 6 years. The past 6 years have been quite the emotional rise for our family, and there is no other practice we’d ever want to take the ride with other than the doctors, nurses and staff at Advocare Pediatric Neurology. Over the course of these 6 years, we’ve experienced a febrile seizure, received a diagnosis of Benign Rolandic Epilepsy for two of our children and a diagnosis of Infantile Spasms for our youngest child. We’ve also worked closely with the team at Advocare Pediatric Neurology on attention and focusing disorders as well. The staff at Advocare Pediatric Neurology has met our expectations in EVERY way! We are beyond thankful and appreciative for their dedication to our family and can’t imagine life without them.
Thank you to Dr. Waran and his wonderful staff…for helping Nathaniel GAIN CONTROL over his seizures…
For HELPING US TO SEE that life can be normal again…
For GIVING US HOPE for the future…
For REALLY CARING about our family.
Our son has been a patient of Dr. Waran’s for many years, and we are so fortunate to have access to such an experienced and compassionate physician. Michael had a difficult to control seizure disorder that started at age 2. Dr. Waran was always accessible, knowledgeable and was receptive to our input. As he once told us, no one knows your child better than you, and treating our son was a true collaboration. He researched many options for treatment, helped educate us, really listened to us and included us in the treatment plans. His staff is professional and responsive, and always worked out a way to accommodate our needs. We truly feel that without Dr. Waran, Mike would not be graduating from college this year. There are really no words to express our deep appreciation for everything Dr. Waran and his staff have done for our family.
Dedicated to Your Child's Neurological Health
Advocare Pediatric Neurology Associates is a specialty practice dedicated to the successful diagnosis and treatment of neurological and developmental disorders in children. Our advanced medical staff includes three board certified physicians with more than 40 years of combined experience in pediatric neurology, plus specially trained nurses, EEG technologists, and medical assistants
We serve Northern New Jersey with offices in Morristown, Sparta, and Summit and use state-of-the-art testing and treatment techniques to evaluate childhood language, learning, and attention deficit disorders; developmental disorders such as autism; headaches; and other problems, including childhood seizure disorders, tics, and Tourette's syndrome. Our pediatric neurologists work closely with many of the pediatricians and family physicians in the region.
For your convenience, we offer EEG, 24-hour EEG, long-term monitoring (video EEG), and electrodiagnosis (EMG) of neuromuscular disorders. By providing this comprehensive scope of services in one location, children can develop comfortable relationships with the same doctors and technicians, and parents can spend less time coordinating appointments and visits.
