Dr. Michael Snyder is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. After more than 20 years in private practice, he believes his most satisfying privilege as a doctor is caring for his patients.
Dr. Snyder is the Chairman of the Department of Gynecology at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County. He is also the Treasurer and Chairman of Finance for Advocare along with being a member of the Executive Committee. Dr. Snyder received international attention in 1999 when he delivered Amerikan, the first baby born to refugees from Kosovo, who were temporarily staying at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He also appeared on the first east coast filming for The Learning Channel program, Baby Story, delivering a baby at Virtua Memorial Hospital. Regularly listed as a Top Physician for Obstetrics & Gynecology in South Jersey Magazine, in 2008 Dr. Snyder received one of the first ten APPLE awards presented by the New Jersey Nurses Association, honoring physicians for a shared commitment to serving patients with quality health care.
Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Snyder worked through high school, college, and medical school as a luthier, repairing guitars and other musical instruments. He and his wife were high school sweethearts who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2014. They live with their two children in Hainesport, Burlington County.
