Advocare Welcomes Mt. Airy Pediatrics

Marlton, NJ – June 1, 2026 – Advocare, a physician-owned, multispecialty medical group with a network of more than 900 providers, continues its growth in the greater Philadelphia region with the addition of Mt. Airy Pediatrics.

Located in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, Mt. Airy Pediatrics has provided compassionate, evidence-based pediatric care to families throughout Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs for more than 40 years. The practice offers comprehensive services for children, adolescents, and young adults, including newborn care, well-child visits, sick visits, school and sports physicals, immunizations, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions. Dedicated to serving families from diverse backgrounds, the team is committed to delivering culturally appropriate, patient-centered care that supports the health and well-being of every child.

Mt. Airy Pediatrics is led by Marcie Macolino, MD, a board-certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Macolino earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wheaton College and her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and has been a valued member of Mt. Airy Pediatrics since 1996. Throughout her career, Dr. Macolino has remained deeply committed to community service and family-centered pediatric care, bringing decades of experience and compassion to the families she serves.

She is joined by Susan W. Nordlof, MSN, CRNP, a pediatric nurse practitioner who has been part of Mt. Airy Pediatrics since 2001. Susan earned both her nursing and graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and has dedicated much of her career to advancing children’s health through clinical care, education, and community outreach. In addition to caring for patients, she has served as a clinical faculty member and preceptor for pediatric nurse practitioner students at the University of Pennsylvania. Together, Dr. Macolino and Susan Nordlof provide collaborative, personalized care that reflects the practice’s longstanding commitment to children and families throughout the community.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Macolino, Susan Nordlof, and the entire Mt. Airy Pediatrics team to Advocare,” said Howard Orel, MD. “Their longstanding dedication to compassionate, community-focused pediatric care aligns closely with Advocare’s mission to support the health and wellness of children and families across the region.”
