Insurance Coverage

Horizon BCBS Coverage Updates

Over the past 6 months, we have been working hard to reach an agreement with United Healthcare and Oxford to protect your in-network access to care. Despite our best efforts, we have not been able to achieve a fair and equitable agreement.

If an agreement is not reached before May 31st, Advocare Providers will no longer be participating in United Healthcare and Oxford's network. Should United Healthcare and Oxford refuse to come to a resolution, we will do all we can to limit the disruption you may experience. We will continue to advocate for you, and we remain ready to engage with United Healthcare and Oxford in the future. Please see below for important actions you can take now – including contacting United Healthcare and Oxford, applying for Continuity of Care, or exploring alternate insurance plans.

You do not need to imminently transfer out of Advocare.

What Can I Do?

We encourage you to express your concerns to United Healthcare and Oxford by calling the number on the back of your healthcare ID card or by calling 1-877-842-3210. You can also send a secure email via your UHC Member Hub or visit the United Healthcare and Oxford website.

By expressing your concerns and making your voice heard, we are hopeful your perspective can help us reach a new agreement. If you have employer-provided insurance, we encourage you to express your concern to your employee benefits manager.
