Howard N. Orel, MD, FAAP

Howard Orel, MD is one of the founding members of Advocare and has served as its President and Chief Executive Officer for over 10 years.
Dr. Orel joined Advocare Marlton Pediatrics in 1989. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with degrees from The College of Arts and Sciences, the Wharton School of Business, and the Perelman School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and has been continuously certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 1989. A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Orel has consistently been honored as a Top Physician by multiple publications. He has also been recognized for his leadership, earning a place on NJBIZ's Health Care Power 50, recognizing the fifty most influential leaders in New Jersey healthcare, and the South Jersey Biz Power 50, honoring the business and community leaders shaping the future of South Jersey.
His clinical interests include newborn care, evaluating and treating patients with ADHD, and behavioral health. Dr. Orel resides with his wife, Emily, in Moorestown, NJ and he is very proud of his four daughters and four granddaughters. He enjoys traveling, spending time at the shore and volunteering for various organizations.
