President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Howard Orel joined Advocare Marlton Pediatrics in 1989. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees from The College of Arts and Sciences, the Wharton School of Business, and the School of Medicine; then completed his pediatric training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1989. A fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Orel was honored to be named a regional "Top Doc" by South Jersey magazine.
Dr. Orel's special interests include evaluating and treating patients with ADD/ADHD and school problems, as well as healthcare management. He serves on the board of Samost Jewish Family and Children's Service (JFCS) of Southern New Jersey and is a member of the Medical Alumni Advisory Council of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Orel has previously served on the executive boards of Camp Ramah in the Poconos and the Jewish Community Voice, a regional newspaper. The proud father of four daughters, Dr. Orel resides with his wife and two youngest children in Moorestown, New Jersey. He takes pleasure in traveling and volunteering for community service.
Dr. Schlitt is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 1980 he received his bachelor's degree in biology from Lafayette College. He earned his doctorate in medicine from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and stayed in the city to complete his pediatrics residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Dr. Schlitt joined Advocare Haddon Pediatric Group in 1990. He also serves on the Executive Council of Advocare, LLC. He is married, has four children, and is an avid marathon runner.
Dr. Michael Snyder is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. After more than 20 years in private practice, he believes his most satisfying privilege as a doctor is caring for his patients.
Dr. Snyder is the Chairman of the Department of Gynecology at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County. He is also the Treasurer and Chairman of Finance for Advocare along with being a member of the Executive Committee. Dr. Snyder received international attention in 1999 when he delivered Amerikan, the first baby born to refugees from Kosovo, who were temporarily staying at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He also appeared on the first east coast filming for The Learning Channel program, Baby Story, delivering a baby at Virtua Memorial Hospital. Regularly listed as a Top Physician for Obstetrics & Gynecology in South Jersey Magazine, in 2008 Dr. Snyder received one of the first ten APPLE awards presented by the New Jersey Nurses Association, honoring physicians for a shared commitment to serving patients with quality health care.
Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Snyder worked through high school, college, and medical school as a luthier, repairing guitars and other musical instruments. He and his wife were high school sweethearts who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2014. They live with their two children in Hainesport, Burlington County.
Dr. Mahbod Mohazzebi, a board-certified pediatrician, joined our staff in September 2009. He completed his residency training in general pediatrics at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center / Children's Hospital of New York, where he became an active participant in the American Academy of Pediatrics.
A South Jersey native who attended the Cherry Hill school system, Dr. Mohazzebi received Honors degrees from the University of Delaware and earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Mohazzebi is also particularly interested in international travel.

Dr. Aftab is a board-certified otolaryngologist who joined Advocare ENT Specialty Center in August 2010. She is a member of many local and national Otolaryngology societies, as well as an Associate of the American College of Surgeons. Her articles and chapters have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and textbooks.
Dr. Aftab earned her bachelors of science degree magna cum laude from The Pennsylvania State University, and received her doctor of medicine degree magna cum laude from Jefferson Medical College, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her otolaryngology residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland and Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. She has also provided humanitarian medical care to the homeless in Philadelphia, as well as to orphaned children in El Salvador.
Dr. Aftab lives in South Jersey with her family. Her areas of clinical expertise and special interest include voice and swallowing problems, thyroid surgery, nose and sinus surgery, and pediatric ENT. She has been recognized by South Jersey Magazine as Reader's Choice top physician.
Jay M. Bernstein, MD, practices Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult and Child Strabismus. He is board certified in Ophthalmology and his fellowship training is recognized by the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Dr. Bernstein received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School, completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and underwent fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology/Strabismus at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England.
Dr. Bernstein is a member of the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Academy of Pediatrics' section of Ophthalmology, and American Academy of Ophthalmology. He was a member of the executive board of the American Academy of Pediatrics section of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Bernstein has volunteered as a Pediatric Ophthalmology consultant at both St Joseph's School for the Blind and Children's Specialized Hospital in New Jersey. His clinical interests include botulinum toxin as an alternative to surgery and the use of local sedation for adult strabismus surgery. Dr Bernstein teaches the Pediatric residents from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ on pediatric ophthalmic through a rotation in his practice. He is married and has two children.
Dr. Joseph DelGiorno is a board-certified Pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Joe received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College after attending St. Joseph's University. He completed his residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in 2001 and immediately joined his father, John T. DelGiorno, who founded the practice in 1976.
Dr. Joe was an executive Vice President of Continuum Heath Alliance, a medical management company, and was directly responsible for starting and growing the Pediatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Hospital Programs at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees. Most recently, Dr. Joe was hired by Unite Here Health and opened a comprehensive medical center in Atlantic City to care for the members of the Local 54 Hotel and Casino Workers Union. His professional interests include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Joe is an avid runner, snowboarder, and surfer; and has traveled to over 50 countries. He endeavors to care for all of his patients through respectful and honest partnerships with each and every family.

Dr. H. Michael Jung is board certified in family medicine by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He earned his bachelor's degree in biology from St. Joseph's University, and graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) School of Osteopathic Medicine with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1985. Dr. Jung completed his general internship and a residency in family medicine at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, New Jersey.
Dr. Jung entered private practice in 1988. Dr. Jung has been trained in the use of the GE Prodigy™ Dexascan for use in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. Dr. Jung was recognized as a "Top Doc of Hammonton" by The Hammonton News.
Dr. Jung and his wife Suzanne have 4 children. He spends much of his weekends on the sidelines of a field watching his kids play soccer and field hockey.
Dr. Burton H. Langer is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, graduated from Cheltenham High School, and attended LaSalle University on a full academic scholarship, earning a bachelor's degree in biology maxima cum laude with general college honors. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Dr. Langer completed his pediatric internship and residency at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where he developed an interest in general pediatrics and entered private practice in 1989. Since 1991 he has been in practice on the Main Line, and on the active staff of Lankenau, Bryn Mawr and Paoli Memorial Hospitals. In 2000 Dr. Langer assumed the role of managing partner of our practice, formerly called Pediatric Associates of the Main Line, continuing in that role as care center vice president of Advocare Main Line Pediatrics. He also serves on the Board of Managers of Advocare, LLP and on its executive committee as the Pennsylvania representative.
Dr. Langer and his wife, who is also a physician, take pride and joy in raising their three daughters, the oldest of whom is considering a career in medicine.
Dr. Anthony Mishik is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and certified for pediatric advanced life support. Born and raised in Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York, "Dr. Tony" graduated cum laude from the Benjamin Franklin Scholars program at the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.
After completing his internship and residency in pediatrics at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, California, he served for four years at the Naval Health Clinic in Cherry Point, North Carolina, where he headed the Department of Pediatrics for three years. Dr. Mishik also served on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) North Carolina Chapter Child Abuse and Neglect Committee and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Mishik moved to South Jersey with his family to go into private practice and founded West Deptford Pediatrics in 1995. As an active member of the West Deptford community and the region's medical community, he has participated in numerous New Jersey and regional professional organizations including the Executive Council of New Jersey Chapter of the AAP, the South Jersey Perinatal Cooperative, and Advocare, LLC. He has published articles about child abuse and has lectured on issues of child development and discipline. Dr. Mishik also works to promote better community understanding of various health care issues through his personal involvement with local area activities. Dr. Mishik is past Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury, NJ. He has been recognized as a "Top Doc" in multiple are magazines and surveys.

Dr. Jason Pecarsky is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is currently a Clinical Associate of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and also serves as Associate staff at Virtua Health in Voorhees and Marlton.
Dr. Pecarsky earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences and received his medical degree from the Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) Robert Wood Johnson/Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
Dr. Pecarsky has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” multiple times by SJ Magazine and NJ Monthly Magazine. A Cherry Hill native, he and his wife Sheri are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters. He enjoys jogging, bicycling, tennis and skiing.
Dr. Karen Peters is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians. She graduated from Binghamton University and the Rowan University of Osteopathic Medicine, served as a intern at Altanticare Hospital, and completed a three-year residency in family practice at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. In addition, Dr Peters is a mom to 2 adult children. She enjoys baking, reading and the Jersey Shore.
Dr. Florence Rosen is a board-certified pediatrician and an assistant clinical professor at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned both her undergraduate degree and her medical degree. She completed her internship at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and performed her residency at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Rosen has often been recognized as a "Top Doctor" in South Jersey magazine. She enjoys general pediatrics and has a special interest in school issues and Attention Deficit Disorder. A Cherry Hill resident for 23 years, Dr. Rosen has raised two sons through the Cherry Hill school system. Married, she is active in community affairs and has served as a member of the Cherry Hill Public Schools Board of Education.
