Marlton, NJ – January 1, 2025 - Advocare, a physician-owned, multispecialty medical group with a network of over 800 providers, proudly expands its reach into Delaware by welcoming Delaware Pediatrics, with locations in Townsend and Wilmington.
Led by Owners Drs. Hann-Deschaine, Gotthold, Franczyk and Callaghan, Delaware Pediatrics has served the children and families of our community with compassion and expertise. Their focus on personalized, high-quality healthcare is evidenced through their comprehensive services, including board-certified pediatricians, experienced nurse practitioners and physician assistants, in-hospital newborn care, same-day urgent appointments, and 24-hour physician availability by phone. Dr. Hann-Deschaine grew up enjoying the outdoors in Maine before attending Middlebury College, where he graduated summa cum laude in Psychology. He pursued his medical training through a unique program at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine and Brown University’s Alpert Medical School. After completing his pediatric residency at AI duPont Hospital for Children and Thomas Jefferson University, he served as Chief Resident before joining Delaware Pediatrics in 2004. Dr. Hann-Deschaine brings nearly two decades of dedication to pediatric care.
Dr. Gotthold, a native of Merchantville, New Jersey, discovered his passion for pediatrics early on. He graduated from Franklin and Marshall College and Hahnemann University Medical College before completing his pediatric residency at Christiana Care, AI duPont Hospital for Children, and Thomas Jefferson University. Since taking over a well-established pediatric practice in Wilmington in 1994, Dr. Gotthold has remained committed to providing exceptional care. He is a Board-Certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Franczyk’s two decades of experience as a board-certified pediatrician reflect his unwavering commitment to children’s health. After earning his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, he completed his residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Franczyk started his career in Delaware County before finding his medical home at Delaware Pediatrics. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Medical Society of Delaware, and the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Callaghan, a Long Island native, completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University, where she gained invaluable research experience. She earned her medical degree at Stony Brook School of Medicine and completed her residency at AI duPont Hospital for Children and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Certified in pediatric and neonatal life support, Dr. Callaghan is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children and their families.
