Advocare Appoints Pat Board as New Chief Operating Officer

12/12/2022 - Marlton, NJ - December 12, 2022 - Advocare, a physician-owned multispecialty medical group with nearly 700 providers, announced today that Pat Board has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective November 28, 2022. Board succeeds Chuck McQueary, who had served as Advocare’s Chief Operating Officer since 2014.

As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Pat Board provides vision and leadership to drive best practices in all aspects of the organization’s operational functions. Among his areas of expertise are strategy development, physician practice and hospital operations, physician collaboration, population health, team building, and community engagement. He translates strategy into organization-wide goal setting and annual operations planning, including actionable steps and performance management.

Pat brings with him over 30 years as an innovative leader with a proven track record of achieving exemplary results in complex healthcare environments. He joined Advocare from the highly respected Marshfield Clinic Health System where he most recently led the system’s flagship site in Marshfield including a 450+ provider clinic and a tertiary care hospital where he served as the market President. Before his tenure at Marshfield Clinic Health System, he held various executive-level roles in the healthcare sector, including Union Health System, UAP Clinic, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, and University of Minnesota Physicians.

Dr. Modarressi is a cardiometabolic specialist board-certified in clinical lipidology, obesity medicine, endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and internal medicine.

He is particularly passionate about his work as a lipidologist, where he evaluates and treats patients with familial hypercholesterolemia and elevated lipoprotein(a), as well as high triglycerides and high cholesterol. He works closely with area cardiologists and primary care physicians in medication optimization and residual risk reduction strategies for patients after a heart attack or those with high calcium scores.

Advocare Taps Fort Health to Accelerate Access to Pediatric Behavioral Health Care Services in New Jersey and Pennsylvania

Advocare LLC, a 750-provider multi-specialty group practice based in New Jersey with the largest number of pediatric providers in the state, today announced a partnership with Fort Health, a virtual pediatric behavioral healthcare company built with the Child Mind Institute, to expand services delivered through primary care. Advocare's primary care facilities throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania will now have the option to leverage Fort Health's services giving more than 450 primary care providers and their patients access to quality behavioral healthcare services through a Collaborative Care model.
